After really enjoying William's Butcher's Crossing, I looked into other works by the man. Augustus sounded interesting and somehow it was even better than BC.  

A great companion to I Claudius in some ways.  Really enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this book.  Had I the time I wouldn't have out it down.  But even breaking it up over several days I found myself looking forward to getting an hour or so devoted to it.
